DVD of my OP!

Having had an MRI scan last week I saw my knee specialist today. The results- the second nail I had put in to correct the first one which was malrotated 30 degrees is actually fine ( I had been told my another doctor it was too long) Hooray...cheer cheer...I really didn't want a third nailing!
My knee pain is caused by Arthrofibrosis..scar tissue to you and me. I am to have keyhole surgery through both sides of the knee to remove loads of scar tissue on the left and right side of my knee and under the kneecap...he said he will also remove some loose cartilage and hopefully the scar tissue removal will take with it any neuromas I may have. The surgeon is going to make a DVD of the whole op and give me a copy!Weird Huh??
The surgeon says my knee should feel a whole lot better after the op and 10 days as a couch potato but more work will be needed and he hasn't ruled out further keyhole surgery. But hey this is so much better than having full surgery for the third rime and no plaster either. After 8 months on crutches last year my hands could not have taken more. My fingers wake me up regularly because they go numb or dislocate and I have to crack them back...Does anyone else have this problem?
Unfortunately I have to wait until the 20th March for my surgery but whats another 4 weeks when I have been in pain a year already? Meantime I have put in an official complaint to the first hospital who made such a bodge of things....they have legally 25 days to investigate so it will be interesting to read the report! It just shows if you think the doctors have it wrong go for a second opinion and don't give up!Di
